On 31 August 2015, IBPS released the IBPS RRB 2025 Notification. Short notification was out and detailed notification was out on 1 September 2025. 13,217 posts had been advertised for application in the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across India by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
In the recruitment notifications, there were three major posts for recruitment: Office Assistant (Clerk), Officer Scale I (PO), and Officers Scale II and III. These posts are good for a career in banking. Aspirants can apply online from 1 September 2025 to 21 September 2025.

IBPS RRB Exam Date 2025
The exam dates for Clerks and Scale I Officers have been released. Clerk prelims will be in December 2025. Officer prelims will be in November 2025. Mains for both will be in December 2025 and February 2026.
The aspirants for Officer Scale II and III positions must take note that there will be only an online test. Interviews are being scheduled very immediately, right after the written examination. Aspirants need to plan their study schedules according to this timeline.

IBPS RRB 2025 Eligibility Criteria
IBPS is very clear about the eligibility criteria for RRB 2025. These include ages and educational qualifications. That is, the full candidate for the post should comply with the stated guidelines within the timespan stipulated between them.
Age Limit (As on 01.09.2025)
- Office Assistant (Clerk): 18-28 years
- Officer Scale I (PO): Above 18 and below 30 years
- Officer Scale II (Manager): Above 21 and below 32 years
- And Officer Scale III (Senior Manager): Above 21 and below 40 years
Reservations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Educational Qualification and Experience (As on 21.09.2025)
- Clerk and Officer Scale 1: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Officer Scale II: Graduation in specific streams like Banking, Finance, Agriculture, IT or Law. Some posts require two years’ experience.
- Officer Scale III: Graduation with 50% marks. Candidates must have five years’ managerial experience.
Knowledge of the local language is mandatory for all posts. Proficiency in computers is also required.

IBPS offers a good salary along with allowances. Salary varies as per post.

IBPS will release admit cards in phases. Candidates can download from the official website.
- Officer Scale 1 Prelims Admit Cards are inhibited for November 2025
- The Clerk Prelims Admit Cards are expected to be given for the same month of the same year.

- Officer Scale-II and III Admit Card: December 2026
The applicant is required to take a printout of the admit card and carry ID proof along with it. Without these documents, entry to the exam hall is not allowed.
