They can qualify if born on or after 1st October 1996. There is no limit on attempts. Students can appear if they meet the educational criteria. 

The candidates who have completed Class 12 exams from 2024 or 2025 or are waiting to complete their Class 12 exams in 2026 can register. Those applicants who have got their Class 12 passing certificates before the year 2024 are not eligible to apply for this exam.

Details on Admit Card for JEE Mains 2026

 The JEE Mains 2026 admit card is an entry ticket for the candidates. The NTA staff is anticipated to release it online through the officially maintained portal. 

Aspirants must download it using their application number and password. The admit card will have the roll number, exam centre, subject code, date and the candidate’s photograph.

 A valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar, passport or driving license must be carried by candidates. The entry to the examination hall is allowed with these documents. Applicants shall check all details and immediately report any errors to the invigilator.

Eligibility for JEE Mains 2026

The eligibility for JEE Mains 2026 is contingent on the qualifications and subject combinations. The candidates must pass the 12th standard from a recognized board or its equivalent. In this regard, students who will appear for class 12 in 2026 can also register for the exam 2026.

 Mathematics and Physics are the compulsory subjects required to appear for JEE Mains 2026. Aspirants must study Chemistry, Biology or a vocational subject in addition to it. General category students need 75% marks to get admission into NITs and IITs. SC and ST students need 65% marks.

To get admission in B.Arch courses, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are compulsory. For B.Planning, Mathematics must be a core subject. Meeting these conditions makes you eligible to apply.

 In the JEE Mains 2026 exam pattern, two papers are scheduled. Paper I is for those pursuing B.Tech and B.E., whereas Paper II is for those pursuing B.Arch and B.Planning awfully for JEE Mains 2026.
