KCET 2025 round 2 seat allotment result

KEA has announced KCET 2025 Round 2 seat allotment results. Thousands of students can now check their seat allotment. Candidates who have participated in the counselling process can check their seat allotment through KEA website. This is the final phase where institute and course is allocated based on rank, category, preference and seat availability.

KCET 2025 Round 2 Counselling Timeline

KEA released a clear counselling schedule for Round 2 to avoid any confusion. The option entry window was open from August 21, 2025, to August 26, 2025. Those who did not update options had their Round 1 choices carried forward.

After the option entry, KEA declared provisional seat allotment on August 29, 2025. This gave students a preview of tentative allotments based on merit, category and seat availability. It helped them to decide whether to report or wait for better movement. The final seat allotment was announced on August 30, 2025. This allotment is binding and requires immediate action from the candidate.

KEA also revised some deadlines to give students more time for fee payment and reporting. As per the updated notification, the last date for choice selection and fee payment is September 3, 2025, and reporting to colleges is September 4, 2025.

Option 1: Candidate accepts the seat but wants to participate in the next round for possible. The fee has to be paid, but the candidate can wait for Round 3 results.

Option 2: Candidate is not satisfied with the allotment but wants to try again. They have to pay ₹10,000 as a deposit and keep themselves eligible for the next round.

Option 3: Candidate rejects the seat and quits the counselling process entirely. No further participation is allowed.

KEA has clearly mentioned that students cannot hold a seat and simultaneously participate in further rounds unless rules specifically allow it.

Mandatory Documents to carry to College

Students must carry the following documents to their college:

1. KCET 2025 admit card

2. KCET 2025 rank card

3. 10th mark sheet

4. 12th mark sheet

5. Study certificate

6. Caste certificate (if applicable)

7. Income certificate for fee exemption (if applicable)

8. Domicile certificate (if required)

9. Two passport-size photographs

10. Fee payment receipt and allotment letter

Colleges will verify these documents before admitting the student. Students must prepare these documents in advance to avoid a last-minute rush.

Mock Allotment and Its Importance

Before Round 1 and Round 2 allotments, KEA also releases a mock allotment result. For 2025, the mock result was announced on July 25. This is an important step to help students know where they will stand in actual allotment.

Mock allotment gives a rough idea, but not a final seat. It’s just a practice round so students can avoid mistakes in the final entry. Students who use mock rounds wisely will get better seats in subsequent rounds.

Why Round 2 in KCET Counselling

Round 2 is important because of the reshuffling of seats after Round 1 acceptances and rejections. Many students who got seats in Round 1 may surrender them, and new opportunities will open up. High-demand courses like Computer Science, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering will see a lot of changes. Students who missed by a whisker in Round 1 can get opportunities in Round 2.

Also, reserved category seats not taken in Round 1 will be converted to general pool seats. So, general category students will get additional opportunities. Hence, Round 2 is the final stage for thousands of students.

To get admission smoothly after allotment, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the KEA portal and check the allotment.

2. Choose an option.

3. Pay the fee before the deadline.

4. Download allotment order and confirmation slip.

5. Collect all original documents with a xerox.

Following these steps without delay will avoid stress and errors. KEA warns that skipping reporting after seat allotment will attract a ban from counselling for 3 years. So students should be responsible.
