IIT JEE
Joint Entrance Exam is an annual exam conducted by NTA and IIat tiger for the admissions in different IIT colleges. This exam is for the 10+2 students who want to take admission in Under Graduates program of Indian Institute of Technology. The exam in conducted in two phases: JEE Main conducted two times a year after qualifying this, JEE Advanced is conducted. Rank obtained in JEE Advanced is considered during JoSSA counselling for allocation of colleges and courses.
GATE
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions in Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology. The exam is jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore), on rotational basis. Score of GATE is also considered by some PSU’s for providing jobs.
JAM
Joint Admission Test for MSC, is conducted for admission in M.Sc, Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D Dual Degree programmes at the IITs ,NITs and IISC. JAM is conducted for a total of seven subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, mathematical statistics, geology, biological science, and biotechnology.
